Project "on hold"

Hello

As you may be aware seeing the number of posts on this blog, i'm afraid I didn't make any progress on the line since a few months. It is very unlikely that I will work on it in the next few weeks. There is still a lot of work to do, and I don't really have a lot of time to do it.
Moreover, with the news sims coming probably by the end of the year, I think i'll wait for them and their hopefully better editor.

If someone wants the line for continue the work, I'd be quite happy to give it to him.

If there is any updates, i'll let you know.

Cheers

Paul

Happy New Year

Unfortunately, I haven't worked on the project during the last months. University is taking me a lot of time. I hope I will have enough time during 2007 to complete a beta version and released it. If people want to help me in any way, please feel free to contact me either by leaving a comment or by uktrainsim forums.

Anyway, happy new year!

Project still alive

Hi all!

Few progress have been made on the route. Only some buildings have been added in Kensington Olympia area.

Due to university taking me a lot of time, and week ends always too short, the route will progress very slowly...

First report

Hi

Here's the first report of the state of the line.
I'll try to post here a report every month at least, and every week if there's a need.

  • The tracks
Currently, all the tracks are laid from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction. But it miss the sidings in Clapham (lot of job here), the Lillie Bridge Engineers Depot at West Brompton, the lines from Paddington and Euston which cross the WLL. It also miss parts of the LU District Line and the Hammersmith Line. So there is quite a lot to do.

  • The scenery
I've begun to put some scenery: eg platforms, bridges, shrubberies, etc... but there is still a lot to do. And it miss lots of landmarks as the Olympia (Kensington), the Earl's Court Exhibition center, and the stations' building, and lots more. But as I don't know how to build these, and, moreover, as I don't live near London, it'll be very difficult to make them myself. So if someone wants to help me, I'd be very grateful...

  • The signalisation
Not yet done... I'm waiting to finish the laying of the tracks to begin.

I hope this will give you a better idea of where this project is.
Screenshots are coming... I just need to upload them. You can find some here:

Don't ask me for a release date, it will not before a long time (not before 2007 I think).

PS: Excuse me for my poor english, it's sometimes difficult to find the good words.

Welcome

Hi

This blog is where I'll keep you update about my project of line for MSTS : the West London Line.
The line goes from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction, and is set in the present day. It's not a 100% accurate reproduction, but more inspired by the atmosphere of the real line.

Keep checking this blog, as I'll post screenshots and give informations here.
